See, I told you guys in that other Jif peanut butter thread that you could get 100% peanuts for a lot less then the same equivalent weight in peanut butter which is only 80% peanuts and 20% other partially hydrogenated oils like rapeseed oil and soybean oil which are very unhealthy.
That 3 lb of Jif peanut butter for $5.44 broke down to about a $1.81 per pound.
So, $1.42 per pound for 100% real peanuts in this deal versus $1.81 per pound for 80% peanuts and 20% hydrogenated rapeseed and soybean filler oil for stabilization purposes.
No brainer.
