Lots of complaints of backlight bleed on this one. Samsung is better.

I've never gotten an IPS screen that didn't have awful BLB. Currently using an Alienware aw3418dw as my main with a Dell S2721DGF on the side and both have a good amount. I went through three of the S2721DGF before I settled on the one I'm using and two of the aw3418dw's. I've also tried an LG 2560x1440 144hz (forgot the model name) and sent it back for the same reason. I'm not upgrading monitors until there's a new technology out that doesn't have this issue because it plagues all IPS screens, some are just more sensitive to it than others.

Adding more ambient light and turning down brightness a bit helps a lot with backlight bleed

I must've got lucky, no backlight bleed for me but I heard the first ones did have that.

I have this monitor and I'm returning it. To reach 144hz you must use 2 DP on your GPU. The speakers are horrible. 4k honestly isn't worth it on 27 inch but stick to 1440p

After being tempted by IPS monitor after monitor, I decided to call it a day and buy a 42 inch LG oled when it comes out later this year. Not a good fit for every person but if you want the best but with potential for burn in, consider waiting for this option.

I bought this monitor for $529.99 last year and it's pretty good so far. No backlight bleed but you have to use 2 display ports for 4k @ 144hz. The top of the hood can block your vision if you don't tilt it but I just use it with the side panels only.

The 28" Samsung is newer and way better

The G70A Samsung has HDMI 2.1 and it looks nicer imo. Plus it can do 4K 144hz on a single DisplayPort cable.
