Ive had the threaded end break off inside the broom head so many times, I refuse to get any new push brooms which do not have the resin brackets. Since getting the latter, the broom has lasted me several years

A push broom can do a lot more things
You can't use a leaf blower when you're indoors, for example. You also will need to get things under shelves or in tight corners.
But the biggest example would be when you are applying fertilizer or grass seed. You *dont* want to blow that all over the place esp into your garden beds.
Combine the two for the best results.
