$1750 is a good deal, especially when factoring Costco as the retailer. It's also $100 off from the EDU pricing.

Overall this is a good product. 16GB is more than enough for prosumer users.

I got this during this sale with Best Buy ($1620 or approx 19% off before tax + $130 in Best Buy rewards), which I believe is the best to date:

I've read the fine print. If you buy it with Citicard it covers an additional 2 years after warranty is over, including extended warranty. I bought the MacBook Pro at Best Buy because I'm a total tech member. I get 2 years of AppleCare+ from total tech and 2 years from Citi card after my AppleCare+ expires. Total of 4 years of warranty. Can't get any better than that in terms of warranty.

TotalTech is $199/yr, correct? I spoke with BB about their TotalTech plan and was informed that to get 2 years of AppleCare+, you need to pay for both years of TotalTech, so $400 for 2 years. Not a deal at all unless you have a slew of other things you bought from BB.

You gotta keep paying every year to get the warranty.
