i dont have cable because when i had it, all i did was surf channels on my favorites list.
and the end of an hr, i knew the gist of the plot for 10+ shows.
anyway, it's frustrating to find the right placement of the amplifier to pick up all the OTA channels.
have it in one spot, and i get x channels.
have it in another spot, i get y channels.
and there's a unique channel from each spot that i want to watch
I live in a major city, with towers about 15 miles away from home. Surprisingly I got about 30+ channels or so, clear and smooth once I figure out the ideal placement. I'd easily pay $10 so $2 is a steal.

1. If you live in urban with close proximity then even the hair pin hack antenna work, you can get any rabbit or simple antenna.
2. If you live in rural or places where you dont have close coverage, best is outdoor antenna (some can be placed just in attic) but higher the better.
Best when antenna placed higher without electrical interference or obstacles. Amplifier gets better only after this point.
I used all sort of antenna over time, mohu leaf type worked better (like op one) as I sticker behind the tv mount. Now using the amplified indoor/ outdoor antenna picked from lowes.
For $2 for 2, its good to grab one of you dont have already.
Installed on an office TV 12 miles northeast from Dallas, TX. I can pickup 62 channels (including sub-channels)
