OMG. 215 Nits. Can't use outside in my lawn chair where I do work .03% of the time.

Yeah sadly the screen sucks.

But for someone who doesn't work outside or under direct sunlight, this is a pretty good machine.

Since a lot of people usually ask this on Dell laptop deals:

WVA is Dell's way of branding IPS. So this, indeed, has an IPS screen.

215 Nits glossy screen is lame even for indoor use. Mediocre deal at best.

I'm still amazed that the lenovo 14ARE05 I bought over a year ago for $650 is hanging with or even beating this year's laptops around the same price.

What nits should I be looking for if in the same boat as you? I have an HP now and it's not glossy but so dark and hard to see

Around 300 nits if it's a matte screen.
Over 400 nits if a glossy one.
