If you need both, it's cheaper in this set : https://www.homedepot.com/p/DEWALT-20-Volt-MAX-Cordless-Brushless-1-in-SDS-Plus-D-Handle-Rotary-Hammer-Tool-Only-w-20V-POWERSTACK-Battery-Starter-Kit-DCH133BWP034C/318607669

What deal are you seeing for the DCF896? It's a solid middling wrench. Not very big but not the smallest. Makes good numbers but not at the top of the pack. It is one of the older models. Torque test channel on YouTube has a good review.

I will warn you that the detent pin is hit or miss. I happened to be in possession of two new ones with the detent and one new one with the hog ring. Sockets on one detent model wobbled on the wrench and came off easily. I felt sockets were held in more securely with the hog ring. The second detent pin model was impossible for removing the socket without using something to depress the pin. This is probably why you find such polar opinions on detent pins online.

No deal. Just wanted to know if it is worth the extra $$$ for the tool connect over the dcf894.

I got this drill a few days ago and used it to drill holes for a few tapcons. It ate through concrete nicely. I wasn't sure what to expect with a lower end model, but I'm pleasantly pleased.

It will keep up with my coworkers more expensive L shaped models from Makita and Milwaukee.

Have had this for a few years. Things a beast. Handles small area tile demo, holes for concrete anchors, concrete demo when moving a drain, etc.

Hey, do you mind sharing what bits you used? I've just bought this for some drilling into very hard concrete block and I'm new to hammer drills. Rep'd you in advance

So far I've used 5/16"-1/4" Bosch masonry bits and a Milwaukee chisel for chipping. Drilling and chipping both work very well.
