Anyone needing a number, Ting mobile Sim is usually $1 each so don't buy a phone# from these people. Bestbuy allows max of 3 and Target allows max of 2. Buy ahead of time and activate when you need a phone#, with $30credit you shouldn't have to pay a thing if porting out in less than a day or 2

$15/month in total for all 5 lines. They share the 1GB of data.
Keep in mind, there was a promo as well where if you sign up for their internet plan, they gave you up to $30/month off their promo rate of internet with xfinity mobile. In my case, that would be $19/mo for 300mbps internet. Then $200/line byod. On top of that, if you get a referral link and buy both services, you can get $75 back as well. I know someone that can refer 😉 I used a referral when I signed up and did get the gift card.

Ie: port 3 lines: bonus $600, sign up for the 300mbps internet as new customer, $30x24 for $720 discount, plus referral of $75.

you can activate the sim while it is still in transit. Porting will still take place. When you get the sim, insert it and turn your phone on. No worries.
But his phone service is about to end so he will basically not have an active line until his sim arrives at gets activated. Yeah I think your best best bet is to visit a store. Unless... You wanna pay for another month.

so if I activate the line say on 2/18 while the sims card is in transit, then I will not have a phone service for a few days until I receive the sims, but my number will be ported to Xfinity, correct? I don't mind to stop by the Xfinity store to pickup a sims card as long as it won't impact the $200 gc promo.

How much will it cost you to extend your line for another month?

For those who have received the sims card, did you all receive within 2 business days by FedEx? I ordered mine on Monday night and was shipped yesterday, but for some reason FedEx tracking shows it won't arrive until 2/22/2022. My phone service with the current carrier will end on 2/19. Called Xfinity and the cs suggested that I stop by the Xfinity store get a new sims card. Has anyone done that before like ordered online and pickup sims from store? Will that going to put my $200 gc at risk? Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Ordered Sunday. Received the SIM today(Thursday)

Damn... I would cough up that $25 for an extra month than going to an XM store and risk getting your gc screwed up.

So when activating the sim online while it's still in transit, it will port the number over to Xfinity immediately just like activating while the sim is in the phone? If so, I'm ok to go with this option without the cell service for a few days until I receive the sim. This line is for my 12 year old son and he doesn't make much phone call.

One word of caution: FedEx has misplaced the (2) SIMs in my 2/13/2022 shipment.

However, you can activate service (if you don't need the line) without actually putting the sim card in the phone.
Does that work for meeting the "active" requirement of the $200 rebate, @MattGrebttap or anybody who has done so?

The term "active" in this context can mean:

1. Activation has been successfully completed (including porting in) and line not cancelled.

or

2. Radio of the device (with the activated SIM card in it) needs to periodically exchange signals with provider's tower whether as a result of making/receiving calls or sending/receiving messages or for cellular data usages.

Which one is Xfinity Mobile's definition of "active"?

If you are going to extend, it would be cheaper to just refer yourself to a BYOD at Visible (another email/card) to get a $5 month for both ($10 total). Better to refer someone else obviously to save $5.

The problem with the above is having another device that you can activate on visible.

As of a few months ago, just activating the line online and sticking the sim in a drawer worked. All Xfinity cared about was completed activation/port.

However, I have a device for each of my lines so I don't run the risk of them changing that policy.
