Anyone needing a number, Ting mobile Sim is usually $1 each so don't buy a phone# from these people. Bestbuy allows max of 3 and Target allows max of 2. Buy ahead of time and activate when you need a phone#, with $30credit you shouldn't have to pay a thing if porting out in less than a day or 2

$15/month in total for all 5 lines. They share the 1GB of data.
Keep in mind, there was a promo as well where if you sign up for their internet plan, they gave you up to $30/month off their promo rate of internet with xfinity mobile. In my case, that would be $19/mo for 300mbps internet. Then $200/line byod. On top of that, if you get a referral link and buy both services, you can get $75 back as well. I know someone that can refer 😉 I used a referral when I signed up and did get the gift card.

Ie: port 3 lines: bonus $600, sign up for the 300mbps internet as new customer, $30x24 for $720 discount, plus referral of $75.

But his phone service is about to end so he will basically not have an active line until his sim arrives at gets activated. Yeah I think your best best bet is to visit a store. Unless... You wanna pay for another month.

do we need really imei to byod ?
if yes can we give same imei for all 5 lines ?
will it have impact for $200
You can't order without: 1) unique phone numbers from approved carriers for port, 2) unique device IMEI numbers for each line.

Number one may work to get a new phone number today and port a number later. This way is at risk of not getting the gift card.

Number two can be solved with an IMEI generator of an approved device (Pixel, Samsung, IPhone). If you want to actually use the devices, you will need a device for each line that works on Verizon. My understanding is that Xfinity is more discerning than Verizon though.

I registered for this offer in November and wanted to leave my experience with it. First of all xfinity mobile is more expensive than most mvnos like Mint. So you will have to pay at least $30 / month (3gb) if you will use this line as your regular line. I normally use less than tha since I work from home nowadays. But one month I was slightly above (3.04 gb) and I paid $45 since there is not hard stop to your quota usage. So I paid $105 for 3 months instead of $7.5/ month to Mint (see their holiday offer). Today my 90 days is over but I still see my status as pending eligibility. I called them and they told me my 90 days will be over tomorrow, even though it is not correct. Basically they claim that you need to wait 91 days to be eligible but then it requires one more month of payment. I asked them if I will receive the card if I wait till tomorrow and the agent said no, he said I will need to wait till I receive the confirmation email to be eligible, which shoule be 2-4 weeks after you complete 90 days he said. I told him, then it is not true that I have to wait 90 days. I will need to wait 90 days + 2-4 weeks to be eligible. He did not answer but he said there is nothing he can do about it. I bought a Mint package to activate before their deal is over which has to be activated within two days. So I will go ahead and activate it and will not be able to get the $200 card. This time xfinity beat me. It happens some times but wanted to share my experience for future reference to others considering switching to xfinity without intending to use their service in the long term.

I haven't been fully utilizing the lines myself, but my cost for five lines ends up about $5/month per line. I also get $30/month off my internet bill. Internet discount is obviously YMMV.

To me, it seems worth it to source another mint sim that can be activated later. Throwing $200 away seems extreme, but I don't know the full details.

Alternatively, you should activate your mint sim with a different number (new or port a Boost Mobile number - $1) and then port your Xfinity line later when you have your gift card.

Just my $0.02

Thanks for the answer. I could not really find a convenient way to salvage some portion of the money. Even if there were a way, I am so tired of trying different things to get this $200. Too much hassle since the beginning trying not to exceed quota limits, trying to find a phone which is accepted etc. I don't want to deal with xfinity anymore. I also orderd Verizon 5G Home Internet today. I am out of xfinity completely.

Well, I offered two ways to salvage your gift card, but if you've already ported out, then it doesn't matter anyway. Good luck. 👍

This is postpaid and does require a soft credit pull.

I've done previous offers and had to pay the 4th month also. Mine was paid about a week or two into the 4th month.

I think I'm getting onto the deal train late. I have all prerequisites - Numbers to port out, Compatible phones and an existing Xfinity broadband line.

However when I place order for SIM from Xfinity mobile site, the estimate for delivery is 24-Feb and the promo expires on 22-Feb.

1. Do you know between the date I ordered the addition line (02/17) or the date I could activate at the earliest (02/24), which one counts for the promo? I don't want to rely on a CS agent who might now promise I'd qualify but then someone else corrects later saying they were wrong and deny the $200.

2. Is there a way I could visit an Xfinity store to get a SIM to activate instead? Would that count for the $200 promo? If so, how should I do it - place an order for SIMs online with checkout showing $200 GC promo and then activate with a SIM from store, or would the store sign me up for the promo?

Thanks.
