This depends entirely on what you're doing with it. The C-series has basically become a gaming display at this point. The noteworthy addition being full HDMI 2.1 support, 120hz, and VRR. If you are (or ever intend) to connect your TV to a high-end PC or modern game console, absolutely, without question, the C1 is worth the extra money.

If you are strictly watching TV and movies, those differences mean nothing. You'll never utilize them. The A1, despite being HDMI 2.0, supports eARC so you're maintaining the same compatibility regarding passing lossless audio. The only meaningful difference here that I'm aware of is that the C1 gets a little bit brighter, which is going to make for better viewing in bright rooms and slightly punchier HDR. Given that the A1 will still look outstanding, I'm not sure the extra $400 just for slightly better HDR is worth it. If you are viewing in a bright room, you may find the C1 the better buy, but otherwise, if you aren't a gamer, I would not hesitate to get the A1 at this price.
If you are going to spend 1400, you might as well spend 400 more and get C1 or a similar OLED from LG or Sony, to be somewhat future proofed
This is the budget model, the more expensive TVs are.

I saw this at Sams. Its $1400 but 1 yr warranty.

I dont do video games, so A1 is OK for me at 60 hz.

I am still waiting for a good deal.

Still waiting on a deal for the 55". They never seem to have a deals on that size.
My BB had a return 55" C1 for $800 the other day. So tempting, but I want 65.

That low at my BB would be scratched up, missing remote, etc, etc, etc, i.e. an abused one

for 1399 you can get the samsung qn85 65 inch tv. i just bought it last week for 1499 and it already dropped again. this tv gets 1100 nits and the a1 is more like 270 nits brightness.
the tv really pops.. same 3 yr extended warranty and more with costco visa.
just depends if you like the oled inky blacks more. they are both magical tv's.

Trying to decide between an LG OLED (A1 or C1) vs Sony X90J. I'm thinking OLED would be a poor choice if I want to use the TV as a computer monitor sometimes, right?

I saw the 65" A1 at my local Sam's Club last week on clearance. It was a floor model only. I asked about a discount for the floor model and they marked it down to $860 for me.

After going through the menu looking at the panel health details and such, I ended up passing. There is a Sam's ad that sits in the corner of all of their TVs and is on ALL DAY.

While $860 +tax was an amazing price, even for a budget OLED, I figured it wasn't worth spending over $900 on a TV with a huge risk for burn-in from being a display.

That said, the TV looked great and I'd love to have it for my basement as the only real knocks on it are for use in a bright room and with gaming. None of which are a concern for that room for me.
Highly unlikely. Sounds like you are stuck in store or demo mode.

I received an offer today from Verde Toe for $2649 for a 77" LG C1. Any seen any offers better than this other than scam sites? I've never dealt with Verde Toe before, would be first purchase... Has anyone has issues with damaged products and/or returns and replacements?

go bbb.org and search green toe. I don't even buy for 2500 with all the risk.

My old vizio is like 200 nits and most of the time I have to turn the backlight way down. Not everybody wants or needs a super bright TV

I thought the whole point of buying TVs from Costco was their incredible electronics warranty?
Why the Allstate warranty?
Have you bought from there before? How is their warranty service? And this TV might not break so easily

For anyone interested in the tv without the credit and warranty, PC Richards has the A1for $1199.96 and the 77 inch for $1999.96. You can probably still price match this to Bestbuy and get their warranty.
