Man I'd be jumping on these if I could use the damn nest app with them. Come on google! Either enable backwards compatibility or add all nest app features to google home.

Cameras are great. But the app sucks and ruins the whole experience. I have 3 old cameras on nest app that work great. The two new on google home in combination with the app just suck.

How is the quality of these cams compared to the Ring battery stick up? I have a Ring mounted on our garage and I can't even read the plates of the cars parked within 5 feet. Internet connection is good, just terrible quality.

Don't ever buy Nest/Google trash. We've had a 16-camera setup now for about 4 years. After 2 years the cameras started failing, just outside of the warranty period. Google has no solution or response except buy a new camera. We've replaced 7 so far. Luckly, I can write them off so I'm not out anything. I feel sorry for anyone who shells out the extra $$$ versus another band. I was fooled thinking higher price = higher quality. Stupid me, don't be me.

We have been lucky so far, and when it was just primarily Nest, the customer service was tremendously better. No comparison.

I went with Nest over Ring. I feel like I always pick the wrong brand/format/device and this time decided to go against my initial judgement and pick Nest. I normally go the more affordable/universal route, but decided to go "higher end" with Nest this time….guess we will see how it turns out.
