HD just had the same surge impact/case/batteries with hammerdrill for $183+tax after hack with another hammerdrill, but if you missed out on that this seems decent.

Decent deal vs the HD one without the pack out. If you need all of the items and don't need to use the hack then this is still better than the latest HD one.

Nice deal. Especially nice if you need the metal saw. No it's not as good as the HD deals was, but most of us weren't so lucky as to catch HD's mistake in time.

I admit I had to see what a hydraulic driver was. Didn't know they made these.

I got the Surge during the December hack deal. It's friggen amazing and the best impact driver I've ever owned by-far. It's incredibly quite and ridiculously consistent with its power. There's never any jerkiness when driving into tough materials giving you much easier handling and it's really nice for working around others, as it's near whisper-quiet compared to standard impacts. The only complaint you'll ever read is ding dong YouTube reviewers complaining about speed, but in real-world use you'll hardly see a difference, as the power delivery doesn't drop out from the initial spike of power when you start running a screw in. My biggest gripe with those YouTubers and their "how quick can I drive in 10 screws!?" is it's totally not realistic. In real-world applications where ultimately machine-gunning fasteners is the goal, you have collated drivers and nailers.

Regarding this deal, I was gonna say it was only so-so, then caught that it includes the 2x 5.0ah batteries. That makes this one totally worth jumping on.

Just got an email saying something was backordered but they're working on it. Seems like quick communication so I like that. I'm in no rush to receive these items as it was more of an impulse buy for me so no big deal.

Got it, but since it was backordered they didn't include the packout bonus. Called and they said it was in stock items only. Oh well, still a decent deal for 2 batteries and 2 tools
