Depending on your duty cycle (highway, city driving, towing, etc.) and your maintenance practices (oil drain interval, do you follow the OEM's recommendations, etc.), you don't need anything more than conventional. As long as has the ILSAC GF-5 (or GF-5+) starburst and/or the API SN or SN+ circle on the bottle, it'll meet the needs of your vehicle. Full synthetic has an obvious advantage from a thermal stability standpoint. At the end of the day, do whatever makes you feel comfortable.

Isn't it better to spend the few extra bucks and get "full" synthetic?

Nobody should buy synthetic blend, of any brand, as there is no standard. A single drop of certain synthetic additive can make a blend.

NAPA full synthetic oil is good oil though, for a fair price. I believe it's made by Valvoline. Their filters are also excellent as they're made by Wix.

Individual qts is 4 cents cheaper per 5 qt 😂
Also, 5w30 and 10w40 are available instead of this cooking oil BS.
Remind me not to eat fried foods at your house 😁

My tacoma takes 5w20 or 0w20.. but prefer to use full synthetic.

I change the oil in our vehicle every 12-15 months these days (low driving mileage). I am NOT going to buy a blend just to save a few bucks ...

This is such an underrated deal. I gave a thumbs up. Surprised it isn't getting more traction. Oil has gotten so expensive lately.

This! If you are changing your oil every 3-5k miles, it shouldn't matter. Also, unless you are using Amsoil, "full synthetic" isn't 100% synthetic anyway.
Even at that Amsoil is still not pure synthetic unless it's Amsoil XL, nothing better than EURO synthetic.

Supposed to be a monthly special. Deal shouldn't be dead.

I could be wrong, but it was my understanding that all Amsoil oils, regardless of type, are 100% synthetic. That includes OE, XL, and signature series.

Because it's a synthetic blend.
