One of the reviewers wrote that the manual that comes with the bench indicates that it has a maximum of 600 lbs, up to 300 for the person sitting, and up to 300 for the weights. For basic safety a bench should have a capacity at least 150% of the total combined weight specified. So with a 300'lb person lifting 300'lb of weight, the bench should be rated for 900 lbs minimum. It just doesn't look like a very well designed product for an activity that can potentially be dangerous. 👎
Invest in a quality product so you don't have to worry about the bench collapsing under you while you're trying to break your personal bench press record.
I managed to get one at Walmart and it isn't sturdy but it got me through the lockdown
$200+ tax when I purchased mine
I purchased something similar for $100 and then upgraded to a half rack spending $400 more later. Save the initial $100.
Best Buy has ProForm - Carbon Strength Power Rack for $400. Then I also got a Rep Fitness bench for $250. My 'Amazon's Choice' $70 bench gave out on me while having weights above my head and the $100 rack tipped over trying to catch them.
Sometimes 'deals' are a waste of money and are just a stepping stone to spend more money later. This is just one of those situations where the 'deal' doesn't matter. if this was listed for $5 I would not buy it. Just food for thought.
Not writing this to make friends, writing this to hopefully help someone not injure or kill themselves.
(half rack, power rack, full rack, complete 1 piece squat rack, find something where the bar will rest on J-hooks not on top like a balance beam)
People talking about benches several hundred more aren't the target audience here.

good to see the price going back down for workouts
If youre expecting to have a full home gym to match a real gym experience, buying this is not equivalent and you will be sorely disappointed!
