As a price reference, Costco has a similar product - Seeds of Change Organic Quinoa and Brown Rice [costco.com] - but with half the number of packs (6-pack, with 8.5 ounces per pack) for $11.79 at my local Costco store in the San Francisco Bay Area; that comes out to be $1.97 per pack, which is more expensive than this deal. Costco does have this product on sale occasionally, but I think - not positive - it's $2.80 off when it's on sale, bringing the price down to $8.99, meaning each pack is $1.50, which is still slightly more expensive than this deal.

Subsequent deliveries will vary based on current prices.
The main exception: if you alter the S&S subscription at all (for example, changing the quantity or delaying it a month) the original price will be lost and the price will be determined at time of shipment.
Source: tons of S&S orders with and without coupons found via Slickdeals, and the few deals that I lost due to messing with the subscription before my first delivery arrived!
