Yes, the 5% Chase cash back works when using PayPal.

All items sold at Instacart are inflated. I spot checked few items I normally buy, I better off driving to the supermarkets and stores.

Because gas, time, and convenience are all free right? What world do you live in?

I have 20 off 50 for Staples. So technically this would make $40 off $100. Staples has in store prices and I have Instacart Express too. Not sure what to get through as you do not get to see entire staples inventory on Instacart site.

Still cheaper to go to the store. Nothing convenient about getting the wrong items, texting back and forth with the item picker for alternatives, dealing with poorly chosen produce, and paying extra tips. In what world is that convenient? Instacart is slave economy monetized.

Since this is not an instant discount so if your order goes under $80 due to item out of stock then I don't think you'll get the discount?
Can anyone confirm if this is true? There's a lot of empty shelves and out of stock items these days.

100% this. And if things like Instacart ever take off in a significant way, these "deals" (deals in quotes because even after the discount you are still overpaying) are going to dry up. Because they need to make money, and right now I understand this propped up by venture capital investments in the hopes that one day enough people are going to value the convenience of having a stranger pick out their meat and produce over the pretty hefty fee for the service.

Depends on your store/area in my area Kroger has zero markup, the store has the option to lower there prices slightly to cover the instacart up charge, they also have the option to keep their prices the same and instacart will increase the prices. Check other stores serviced by instacart they may be more appealing. Costco does not upcharge in my area as long as it's food. Electronics and such are because they are very low margin items.

So can I use in app discounts, and then pay with PayPal as my cashapp card as the payment method to get
80-20-(80*.2)-15 or around 30 dollars? Pretty slick, but it does depend on how these offers stack, if, and when

Not a good deal. One of the items that I buy at costco (Pull ups for kids) is showing $10 extra. Why should I pay excess costs, tips, delivery fees and dealing with all the issues. This may be useful for those who can't drive to the store.

They literally have a filter for stores that are "In-store prices"
