Did this and my shopper decided to refund half my stuff so my total fell below $80. How convenient.

Instacart is the worst company for a slickdeal-er.

1. You never know what you'll be paying in the end. You might get less than what you ordered, and end up paying more, because "you didn't qualify for the minimum purchase amount", because the shopper couldn't find an item and removes it.

2. When your shoppers bring you cucumber instead of english cucumber 3-4 times in a row, and you select "problem with my order" they then block your ability to get any refunds...so much for their "100% Satisfaction Guarantee" - that is BS!.

3.no accountability on incorrect product description/size posted on their web site... That 6 x 16oz Pepsi Bottles you see at Dollar Tree might be an "obvious mistake because "it would too good to be true i guess'".... but so many times you see "garlc 1lb 1.49", and your shopper comes back with 1 garlic bulb. And (2) above applies..

4. Instacart is a Switch and bait company. They show you -20 promo applied (minimum purchase $35) in cart, then they remove 1 item, and now you didn't qualify...so your bill is $20 higher now.

5. Their rep can cancel your order without your permission, and Instacart will charge you $15.90 cancellation fee... If i wasn't diligent about looking through my credit cards transactions I would've missed it. When I called about it the 1st time, their rep promised me it would be refunded. .....1 month later it wasn't. The 2nd call went like this "I see the previous rep promised the incorrect cancellation fee would be refunded...but unfortunately since it's been more than 14 days there is nothing we can do now except give you a 10off35 coupon"... CRAZY right ? So now i'm dealing with a CC chargeback !

Forget Instacart exists.
10 off 35 promos and similar still apply even if items are out of stock. I never had a promo removed because I fell short of the $35 minimum. In fact, I've filled the cart with items I knew were not in stock, and paid like $15 in total including tip. Promos were never taken off. Basically, if the promo was able to be applied at pre-shopped checkout, it will still apply afterward. I've never experienced otherwise. 🤷 ♂️

Additionally, with this specific promo, if the shopper doesn't find an item, PICK A REPLACEMENT! really simple.

Are we supposed to see the discount while placing the instacart order?
I saved the offer in my paypal account, but didn't see any discount while checking out from instacart with $80+ order total.
Is it like spending $80+ then getting $20 back, not immediate discount?
I haven't done this deal but if it's like past PayPal offers at various stores, PayPal receipt reflects the discount if you used PayPal to pay. The receipt from the store shows full price without the discount but PayPal receipt shows the discount. No discount is mentioned while checking out, either.

Did your PayPal receipt show the $20 discount?

Not for my 20 off 35 Dollar Tree and 20 off 35 Family Dollar.... These were posted here on SD a month or so ago... and had transactions that were $35+ at checkout time, then shopper couldn't find items, and my discount was removed.
When i chatted to Instacart rep they say "read the terms" $35 minimum purchase...and since it's a "store promotion" nothing we can do...terms set by the Store.

So you got $40 worth of products for free? You said your shopper refunded you half of $80...

100% this. I live in Miami Beach island and Costco is like 20 minutes away on the main land by car. I literally pay like $50 more than if I go there myself but it's worth it. No tolls, no shopping hassles, they deliver it to my door. What more can you ask for? That's like a two hour endeavor for anyone. I spend less because I always by the buy the same shit. Those $50 is always less than if I go there myself. Because I don't own a car.

Instacart is pretty amazing but like everything good, there's zero accountability for their shoppers and they penalize customers. So there's that.

Correct, Instacart is listed

INSTACART (only with Grocery Store deliveries)
Even though Instacart is listed, Paypal is NOT. So most likely it won't stack, will it? Confused

Still cheaper to go to the store. Nothing convenient about getting the wrong items, texting back and forth with the item picker for alternatives, dealing with poorly chosen produce, and paying extra tips. In what world is that convenient? Instacart is slave economy monetized.
Ok, so its not for you.. feel free to jog on coz the rest of us are thankful to get the $20 off deal.

Number 4 is incorrect. Promos remain even if the adjusted subtotal falls below the original threshold. That's one nice thing about Instacart.

Not using it my self because I have plenty of discounted instacart GC
But when you checkout with PayPal cart there is an option to add chase freedom card. When you do it shows the current cash back as 5% just below the details.

If I place an order for a date in advance, does that count? I definitely beyond the $80 cart minimum, but I don't need the groceries until later in the week.

Not sure when the payment for a future order is considered processed with PayPal, since this promo is limited to the first 60k customers.

Anyone having trouble saving this offer?
Also, how do you know the offer has been saved in your PayPal account?

Regarding #4, I have had my promo coupon honored even when the order dropped below the required minimum due to something not being available. This happened after I submitted the order and the shopper couldn't find several items.

Beware of PayPal "deals." Late last year, I enrolled in one for Starbucks and made a qualifying purchase, never got the credit.
