Don't be an elitist. Though obviously not the best, Ryobi are plenty good for most projects and are quite affordable.

It's a great deal for the DYIer. Go ahead and waste your money on overpriced tools you don't really need.

As a ordinary home owner, I just can't find a use case for the router. Other tools - I already own (different brands)

I'm a Ryobi fanboy- my family buys me new tools to add to my collection every year. Have to say my absolute favorite tools from those groups around the reciprocating saw (GREAT for pruning trees, bushes, cutting fence posts, and quick wood cuts), and the 1/2" impact wrench (remove tires in seconds, get hired by NASCAR!). Great prices here!

Haha...same. I'm handy around the house, but I think I've needed a router exactly twice in my life. Maybe if you're into building cabinets or custom deck trim or something.

The trim router is really nice. I've profiled hundreds of feet of hardwood trim so far and it's remarkably solid for the price.

And here I am, in the same boat as you, and the only tool I want out of these is the router 🤣

That little quarter inch impact driver is no joke. I was going to buy the larger one but I just threw an impact socket on it and a quarter inch to half inch adapter. The 1/4" got 100ftlb lug nuts off no problem. I'm using the larger four amp hour battery.

I have the hammer drill, the 1/4" impact driver, and just the plain Jane cordless. They do a great job.
