From all of the comments on the last deal (pay $45, wait 4 weeks for your rebate), it looks like Sam's is famous for not actually sending the rebates without a lot of pestering by the customer.

Our Sam's club membership just expired and I would rather pay the $8 and have no further work to do rather than pay $45 and take my chances on whether I receive the rebate or not.

Corrected title, I tried to fix it immediately in app but editing was causing the app to crash.

I had to poke them. But their customer service gave me the eGift card (via email). It was clear I spent the 45 with scan and go within my term period, and was owed the GC. Annoying, but was worth it. I assume a lot of people forget or give up.

Yes. With the Groupon deal I actually made $23. My Sam's Club has all but shut down the food court, limited the gas station (blocked off pumps all the time), and discontinued so many items that I would regularly buy. The day I need to pay for a membership is the day I quit shopping there.

All the items I used to buy are either ridiculously priced ($100+ brisket) or no longer sold at my store (25lb pizza flour). Not bad if they still carry things you buy.

Strange- my wife and I both joined late last year. Each did the scan and go a few days later, and each got our samsclub/walmart gift cards within a few weeks after that without any issues.

I joined in November. Finally had to chat with support for $45 e giftcard. It showed up on 3 days chatting. Amex credit is not posted up yet. I contacted them about month ago but still no luck. Still have to call again, I guess.

I had no issues with mine in last two years of free offers. You may need to nudge the Amex but Sam's sent out e gift card as advertised at the sixth week.

I got paid this year $45 to shop at Sam'. Can't beat that.
