This site is new to me but they do have quite a bunch of reviews on Google and almost 1000 on Trustpilot with a 4.4.

Purchased a copy myself and it worked.

i alway use cloud version. If i switch to this download version, will my past information be automatically merged to this download version? if later i switch back to the cloud version, will it do the same? I have also heard people having issues submitting the tax return in switching versions. It's asking for last year's exact refund amount for verification purpose but download version keeps rejecting even entering correct information. Any thoughts?

I just think it's misleading, the way they present it. It says on the front "Federal + State". It would be reasonable to assume that means you get the whole shebang for both federal and one state, right? But you're only getting 'full' support (including e-file) for federal.
Its that way on all paid tax software not misleading at all. Turbotax and HR Block included. Been like that forever.

If I opened an LLC in 2021 but didn't use it for anything and plan to close it this year, can I use this premier or do i need the business version even though I didn't use the LLC?

Why would a person download the program/(buy a disc in years past)? What is the benefit over just using the website?
Back in the day the disc would get one free state return and you could load it on different computers and every computer would get one free state return. I only have one college age daughter living at home now so I haven't done the disc swap thing for quite a few years but I'm almost certain they've cracked down on that by now. I also like having the disc as you can always go back to it if needed 5-6 years down the road if needed.

I've used this for the past 4 years after an accounting friend told me about it. Free and soooooo much better and intuitive than TurboTax. Thank me later

You get one free State program, but not free state filing. It's not misleading, you get the program to create your return, you just have to pay to file online. You can print and file by mail for free in most cases. Like others have said, it's always been this way. Until states work with the software companies to provide free filing like the Federal gov't has, it will remain this way.

It's been $54.99 pretty much everywhere for a while. Amazon, Staples, BJ's, Costco, etc. I believe that was due to a $15 discount from Intuit. I don't know if that's still true, as I bought mine last week.

I understand, we're slickdealers and a buck is a buck, but for a buck, I would stick to a vendor I was more familiar with and confident in. Thanks for the deal though. We're all here to save money and help each other out. It's all good...

Has TT resolved the software bug for standard deduction plus cash deduction error on review line 12b?
It keeps throwing error and changes the value from 600 to 300 but errors.
Not excited about attempting a work around of deleting all the work done for charitable contributions. Or what other bugs not throwing error???
So it might be worth looking for a vendor that is willing to fix software bugs.

Once you register the TurboTax software with Intuit, you will get access to all updates, bug fixes, etc. online. As long as it's the genuine software and you can register it, it shouldn't matter where you bought it.

Remember that certain fidelity customers can get this for free. So check your account to see if you have the promo before you buy.

Usually the price. Right from their website is usually always the most expensive option.

Damn, all the sites running the $15 off seem to have expired. Looks like this is the only one right now. Guess I'm waiting till April 😂😂

I've also never paid to e-file my state return the last 2 years with TT. Bought premier abs as long as it had the state with it, I was good to go.

Does this website allow for state tax filing as well (California)? Just wanted to make sure I wouldn't need to enter the tax information twice to file each return

If you have a .TXF file from quick books or an accounting software, the desktop version of TurboTax is the only way to import the .TXF. For whatever stupid reason, they don't have that functionality on the web based version of Turbo Tax.
