Oh, they do [homedepot.com], but not for a $100 ....

Quality and cheap are not typically synonymous.
Man they just don't make anything quality anymore.
He has a standard opening. And needs the 22.5'' which is more than twice as much. Surely you can see why you can't put something 25'' wide through a 24'' hole?

Damn, if only it was the 22.5" version I'd be on top of it. The trusses above my garage are spaced 24" apart Frown

Can't you just stack some wood with the appropriate with on each side and make a square? It will only make it stronger.

Connect 2x4 or 2x6 or 1x4 to one of the inner side of truss that gets you perfect fot for this one. Don't mess around with ladder it self but add left or right side support.
Hope this helps.
This is the way I did it and it worked since few years without any problem.

One reason I am not a fan of trusses. Yes, less material/cost but you can not modify. :-(

I have what I think is an aluminum version of this pull down, but my complaint looks to carry over to this one. If you've got big feet, you're going to be walking up sideways at the top. These steps / rungs / whatever are not deep at all. The ladder we replaced had steps that were twice as deep.

Be carefully of the weight limit. I'm around 225 pounds, but if I'm carrying anything up with some weight to it, I would be easily over the 250 pound weight limit.

If my current opening is 25.5", will this work? Or did I measure wrong and it's likely this size anyways?
