By the way...

As of December 2021, the inflation rate in the European Union was 5.3 percent, with prices rising fastest in Estonia, which had an inflation rate of 12 percent.

Not a bad deal but I think we're long past the point of 8GB of ram being enough. I will never buy an 8gb laptop/tablet again.

Not just that, for 900 bucks they could at least increase the ssd size. Jesus, cheap bastards! A 128 is like 25 bucks.

FYI If you want to buy from Best Buy with a keyboard (which you probably do), it is available for $999.98: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/comb...cef302a7cd

It is equivalent to the device price in this post + type cover at its original price $140, so not a better deal than this

On the plus side, at least it's easy to upgrade. It's actually easier on the Pro 8 than most full size laptops. You can get a 512 2230 or like $60, $120ish for a terabyte. But yeah, it is kind of ridiculous that they even have a 128 model.

Believe the ram is soldered on though, sadly.

My Dell Latitude 7390 work laptop has an i5-1145G7 and it's always in turbo-mode blowing hot air. Opening outlook - you hear a huge "woooshing" sound from the exhaust outlet. Open a new tab in Chrome? Another "woosh" for 30 seconds. Using Teams for a meeting? "Woosh" sound pretty much the entire time. Not recommended because my personal laptops with an i5-8250U and i7-10710U totally doesn't have that problem.

Hell of a price
yeah, but i cant believe they still offer 8GB ram and 128GB storage. those were the same specs on the Surface Pro 1 a decade ago, not as fast, but still. minimum should be 16GB ram and 1TB storage.

They're just copying apple. Make your devices so sealed up normies are afraid to DIY upgrade. Apple charges what, $400 extra to go from 8 GB to 32 GB ram? Just be glad this new Surface doesn't have the iconic iphone notch. People are gonna want to add a notch to their laptops from now on.

Microsoft has become increasingly annoying and intrusive and their quality is falling. I'm moving away from everything Microsoft to either Ubuntu or Apple.
So why are you wasting your time on this thread?
