This is a well made movie, and encapsulates what was seen as acceptable to say and do in a a big budget commercial release at the time. And, it even won mainstream awards. It is a part of history and ridiculous to censor- it is a great example of the racism and other issues active at the time of making. If parts are cringeworthy to people now, then that is informative. It's commercial entertainment created to make money, and it certainly did.

If you truly wanna learn about the actual history of racism and whatnot in the USA, read some books. Here's a good place to start: https://www.zinnedproject.org/mat...ted-states

Don't look to movies and TV shows alone to educate yourselves. Whatever your class and political bent.

Not to be snarkey but, Again I ask is this the original version or is it a fixed version for the 70th aniversery..

You have to ask that if it is colectable or not. Who wants the censord version of say Blazing Saddles.. When you see that on TV it is just not the same..

I know Disney is up to revisions, so a person has to ask.. Is this a original movie with all the best tech used to restore the original content, or just a lame atempt to produce a product for the persistint woke mob who might not want to watch it unless sanitized .. I really want to know..

Not really a choice is it? Foreign language films require either subtitles or dubbing, and obviously you are not going to choose dubbing.

I ask the same thing about the sleeping mob when a D&D product or nekkid movie or musical album is coming out

I don't ask about violent movies because the sleepers are generally okay with most violence on film

Not really an issue as the one big store in a lot of towns won't purchase said item, music categories etc, so it's effectively banned for locals anyways (and before internet shopping this was a pretty complete way to bury a product). Then you just need to update your local banned book list at schools, clear out those broom riding wizards etc, and you've got it done.
