Not sure if this is deal-worthy. I'm mostly looking for feedback on this set. Finishing my basement and looking to buy my first surround sound. Not looking to break the bank but want something better than a sound bar. I'm hoping to be under $1,200 all-in for 5.1 or 7.1 setup.

Be gentle.

Not a bad deal. You can get it for maybe $40 less buying individually. The bookshelf speakers are the highlight of this series, and the rest of it is pretty solid, good value speakers. If you pick out individual components from other brands, you can end up with a better system overall. This is good if you're eager to get set up now.

Thanks for the feedback. How does it compare with the Polk 5.1 bundle?

I actually came from a 5.1 system using 4 t15s, t30 and the psw10 (still using the sub). I currently use a 3.1 system with a pair of the cs5s with the cs8 and immediately noticed a huge improvement the first time I listened to them. The polks sounded like tin can after that. Not only that, but the psw10 is looked down upon by any AV forum you'll find. Definitely recommend the Sony system over the Polk.

You can check out the Jamo bundle for 200 USD. Add in the matching sub and a reciever and you can get something great for less than 600 USD.
