Well, the current price of the bare tool is $129, battery is $99, and charger is $35.

$129+$99+$35=$263 The math checks out.

Solid homeowner choice at this price. I think it's been this price pretty regularly since the holidays. In fact it was re-posted 20 days ago. Regardless, for those that are interested:

Real-world torque on this is about 240 ft-lbs. That's plenty for things like lug nuts and removing mower blades. You can't do drivetrain or heavy construction work with it, but if you do that kind of work, you know that already.

This guy tests the P261 and the new brushless P262 for real-world torque on his YT channel.

P261 test: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HWeguH-2UJA

P262 test: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NpxHkkzxeUE

Thorough reviews and scientific measurements with all the technical info (e.g. battery types) and real-world results.

TL;DR: The P262 brushless is more than twice as powerful, achieving 91% of claimed torque vs. 81% test achievement on the P261.

Can this gun remove lug nuts on cars?
Probably doesn't need to be said, but these are great for REMOVING lug nuts. Do not ever use one of these to put them back on. You will overtorque them 3-4x over spec and if you're lucky you'll just never be able to remove them. More likely you would shear off the studs or crack your wheels.

Because it feels cheaply made. The motor is brushed and sparks when you use it. If you hit the trigger multiple times too fast the tool locks up. You need to wait a second or two between ugga duggas.
I guess it's not for your but I don't think you can beat the quality for this price.

I've had this for 3 years. Has removed all of the lug nuts on my 3 cars. Also removed stuck nuts on my table saw blade, rear car differential oil plug, just about everything.
Good combo deal. Get it before the prices go up , cause they will after dip-sh*t Putin's war.

After starting the threads by hand, I switch it to low speed and use the wrench. Then follow up with a torque wrench. I've never overtorqued them with the gun, never broken a lug nut or bolt and we're a family of wrenchers. Just don't hammer down at high speed, follow it up with a torque wrench.

This is a good unit for most homeowners. I am just about to upgrade to the brushless model because after years of use it no longer has quite the breakaway torque it used to. Because I do use mine a lot and sometimes need the extra brute force sometimes, gonna go with the brushless.

This took care of the CV joint bolt on our truck. It is huge, it was ridiculously torqued, and this thing hammered at it for 20 seconds before it eventually loosened. I haven't seen anything that it hasn't been able to get off. The convenience of the hammer action is amazing. Lawn mower blades, engine components, and other things that otherwise spin because they are on a bearing are suddenly very simple. I spent this much money on the exact same setup 2 years ago and haven't regretted it once.

That said, I'm only a homeowner and I only use this thing at 50% of its torque probably, with the exception of the occasional CV joint bolt or similar. If I were using this thing professionally, I would go for the upgraded version.

Would this be suitable to remove wheel axel nuts?
Mine are torqued at 253 ft/lbs.
