True. Though It charges via USB-C, so I think the presumption is that most folks will use the charger from the laptop that they likely bought this item for. At least that is what I intend to do; less bulk when I travel.

I have an HP Laptop and it won't recognize a charger being attached and won't charge while it is on unless it senses the entire 65W. It will charge if it is off though. Not sure about MacBooks
MacBooks will charge off of it while on. I have a 2021 16" MacBook Pro that comes with a whopping 140 W charging brick and it charged with my 60 W PD portable battery while on. Very slowly but it charges.

99.9% of them don't. You not having a cell charger already would be much much weirder.

I have a 15" 2015 MacBook Pro. The Apple adapter says 85w. This power bank is 80w. Can I use it on my MacBook Pro? How long would it power it?
80W is the total for all 3 ports. The USB-C that you'd use outputs 65W maximum. That said, it should still charge your MacBook fine. As for how long, this battery is MUCH larger than what comes in your MacBook, but it would depend completely on what you're doing on the laptop. Anywhere from a few hours if you're editing and rendering video constantly to a few days at idle. Make sure you're using a high quality USB-C cable. Cheap ones won't be able to carry 65W.

FFIW, 26,800mAh is considered the maximum capacity for USB power banks to just slide under the limit put forth by the FAA. You can bring larger capacity batteries onboard, but have to get prior approval each time. So that's why you see a lot of brand with this seemingly oddball capacity of 26,800mAh.

For the nerds: 100 watt hours is the FAA limit. 3.7VDC is the cell voltage. It's cell voltage multiplied by capacity. 3.7V x 26.8Ah = 99.16Wh. Just slides under that 100Wh limit. :-)

This is tempting, I think a lot of us have power banks but this is quite large and strong. Definitely not good for everyday but for a laptop or steam deck this could be super useful.

Perfect when I'm traveling. It was either this or the Anker one, but $50 for this is good enough for me!

Assuming your phone supports USB-PD it will. I'm not sure about other brands but I think I that the S10 series for Samsung was the first supporting PD in addition to regular charging and Qualcomm QC. Any new mid-high tier phone would support it but some of the budget ones still don't.

It's a mess as to what speed your phone can do. Lots of manufactures chose different standards to get the very max. Looking at Samsung mainly. It will almost for sure do a version of quick charge. Like maybe 15 or 20 watts but not the max 30 or 45 of new Android phones. But much better than 12 watts from a "dumb" charger.

I'm very familiar with Samsung and Pixel phones. Samsung has supported USB-PD PPS since the S20 series. The Ultra models support up to 45W charging and the others up to 25. Quick Charge (QC) is the Qualcomm proprietary protocol which used to be very common but devices are shifting to the better USB-PD standard. This power bank is USB-PD.
