Buying a money order with the gift card essentially gets the cash off the gift card. Take the money order to your bank and deposit it. I had issues adding the gift card to my Paypal and Venmo which is why I went the money order route. My cash offer from GameStop was $140 less than the visa gift card. Most grocery stores and even Walmart offer money orders. Swipe the giftcard as debit and enter a pin number and you should be good to go.

I think the tax is on $500 so 100 + 7% or whatever your state tax is + 60 + 20 = 215 approx

No matter you are the T-Mobile customer or not, only matter is have you done any Metro deal within 180 days and the port in number can't be in T-Mobile network past 180 days.

I'm guessing this wouldn't work if I'm adding a line to my plan?

can I downgrade from the $60 to $30 plan on day 1 and stay in the plan for 6 months (I don't really care about their $50 MasterCard)? will it get auto unlocked after 6 months?

Yes, you can downgrade on day 1, but you won't qualify for $50 rebates.

We don't care, just trade them in at Gamestop for cash or Samsung for $500 to $800 off toward the S22.
When trading in to Gamestop (or anywhere for that matter) do they not care that the phone is still locked?

No, I told them those devices were locked to T-Mobile and the value was $300.

Yes, you can downgrade on day 1, but you won't qualify for $50 rebates.
Seems like better to downgrade. You're paying $30 more for 2 months to qualify for the $50 GC. (unless you have other lines active) That is a net loser.

Yes, you can stay one month only.

To qualify for the $50 card, you have to pay for 3 months of service, so it would be $60x3

Supposedly they run the phone through some kind of tool. Some reps are more strict than others

Also, if you are going with the Visa card, be sure you use it QUICK

There have been reports of the cards getting used by others who found a way to get access

It should Auto Unlock. The issue comes if you use an rsim. No one really knows if the rsim 'unlock' will mess with the unlock timer. I think I read someone mention something about it resetting and not getting it unlocked due to using rsim. I have to read a few threads to find the post.
When you say it will Auto Unlock, is that with 6 months of paid service? Or, can we cancel immediately and it will still Auto Unlock after 6 months?
