Buying a money order with the gift card essentially gets the cash off the gift card. Take the money order to your bank and deposit it. I had issues adding the gift card to my Paypal and Venmo which is why I went the money order route. My cash offer from GameStop was $140 less than the visa gift card. Most grocery stores and even Walmart offer money orders. Swipe the giftcard as debit and enter a pin number and you should be good to go.

I think the tax is on $500 so 100 + 7% or whatever your state tax is + 60 + 20 = 215 approx

it all depends on how strict your reps are.
It seems like for this deal not a lot of reps are checking.
Don't go in there asking unnecessary questions and don't seem suspicious to them.
Right well of course my dumb ass was calling around... I mean worse case he checks and I get no charge right? Otherwise if they pull some now you have to pay full price and I can't reverse shit then I'm farked but yeah I imagine if they were going to check they'd do it right away when you get in before any of the act is started

you definitely should not have called, that just raises red flags.
Yea, worse case is that he checks and says no can do.
Just say it's for your brother or something

Third party store I'm assuming? I worked in telecom years back and I couldn't see how old a number was. It sounds like they are trying to stop people from playing the system. They know people buy numbers to do these deals.
Yes, authorized dealer, and yeah Ive worked at Verizon and sprint and same, but from what another user suggested since they'll have you port in info pass name and number they could call to check "on your behalf" acting as you.

I agree, I just didn't want to head to a store and them not have 11's. You're totally right tho, I should have only asked if they had 11's not about the promi

Yea, I understand it. I was going to do the same because I didn't want to drive around looking for parking in over populated areas.
I decided to just go to a nearby authorized store and the reps were surprisingly nice.
I didn't care that $12 was added. The rep mentioned it beforehand and that I could cancel it after the first month. I know how the game is played, I know these reps get commission off of this. What's $12 when it comes to getting an iPhone 11 for under $200. This is a steal.
As I mentioned earlier, the last deal on an 11 purchased outright was total wireless for around $275 after taxes
I bought 2 of these metro 11's for about $175 each.

here is my experience: went to the authorized store last night and paid $206 total. the guy charged me $100 for the phone, $30 tax, $60 for the plan, and insurance $16. this morning I downgraded it to $30 plan and canceled the insurance. I am planning to use up all the credit and then pass the phone to my son.

Purchased at the Diversey and Cicero store in Chicago. They said they had a few more in stock. This was like 2 PM. Whole process took about an hour. At first they said they had to get the phone ready and for me to make sure I had account number and pin. After 20 minutes or so, sales girl tells me how delicate the phone is and comes out with a bunch of cases for me to purchase. I say phone is gift for wife and she will pick out her own case. Another 20 minutes passes and she finally calls me up to counter. Took her forever to put everything into the computer, and another girl comes over to tell me that the insurance is a great value at $10 a month. I decline, saying my credit card will give me free insurance as long as I buy the phone with it. So she totals it up and says its $260. I ask to see the breakdown and she has the phone at $100, $60 plan and $90 in accessories. Yep, $90 for a screen protector and a deluxe wall charger, because the phones don't include them anymore. Oh yeah, she tells me all IPhones starting with 11 are now USBC. I politely decline, and they say since I am not buying any extras, they will have to activate the phone in store. So box was opened and phone activated. Paid $160 plus 10.25 tax. No activation fee. Wife gonna love this upgrade from IP7+
The phones dont come with a charger? WTF Where can I get the cheapest legit apple charger?

Will it get unlocked in 6 months if we just pay one month service, not use rsim i.e just put the phone in drawer for 6 months. Planning to get this as a backup

Quote from chaoss :
It should Auto Unlock. The issue comes if you use an rsim. No one really knows if the rsim 'unlock' will mess with the unlock timer. I think I read someone mention something about it resetting and not getting it unlocked due to using rsim. I have to read a few threads to find the post.

Why you keep asking for those? You just want to find out who living nearby go to the store you plan to?

April 10 is the 183th days after I activated my Metro 13 Pro, I want to give more time to make sure Metro Auto Unlock my phone, I currently use soft unlock so can't identify it soft unlock or permanent unlock after 180 days, I have to factory reset in order to verify, but in the past experience on Android , it did Auto Unlock after 180 days, so I don't worry about that.
Could you give me the ebay link to buy rsim to unlock this iphone 11 that worked for you and how to use it?
