Before permanently unlock, if you want to use different carrier SIM card, you have to get soft unlock, if you prefer put in draw or like me connect to Wi-Fi at home and hotspot outdoor, you don't need it, it depends on you.
Yes i want to use before permanent unlock. I am planning to get a Whitesim. But i may go to oversees later and if i have to use a different SIM from that country should i get a new Whitesim to unlock phone for that carrier?

One Whitesim work every carrier, I have put my foreign Sim in soft unlock period, work excellent, you can reset before make sure it's fully permanent unlock since Metro doesn't unlock on promises, Days 180. if you preferred doing reset, make sure back up your data.

Just got the phone, paid $99 plus tax and plan. Metro employee said they (store or metro, dunno) limit 2 phones (including free android ones) per person/port-in even if I have lines. I was offered insurance ($6/2 lines), but I was not pushed into it (I accepted it in hope the employee would get some extra bonus for it)

Once you soft unlock using the white sim, do you need to redo the steps if you swap to a different sim card from another carrier/ country? Thanks

No happen in my case with iOS 15.1, I'm not sure if new version iOS15.4 or 15.4.1 will have problem or not, I will recommend once soft unlock successfully, don't upgrade or reset until you confirm fully permanent unlock.

I currently have T Mobile. Can I get a Visible number to port in just to get this deal and then port in my T Mobile number afterwards?

Is it possible to get 2 of these devices, activate on Metro, and drive right to T-Mobile to trade them in for iPhone 13's, or will T-Mobile not accept these devices as trade-ins? Thanks for the feedback. iPhone 13's are $800 off with iPhone 11 trade in.

Thanks Desi, I spoke with a rep from a local store, and they said that I could not do this while the phones were locked. Sorry if it was an uninformed question, this is my first foray into phone slickdealin'

The store rep is wrong. You can trade in a carrier locked phone, but it cannot be locked to iCloud or Find My Phone.

What is the minimum plan for this for 2 lines? Can the senior 2 line offer be used is there anything cheaper?

Did your phone come with iOS 15.1? I am hoping there's iOS 14 iPhone 11's available to jailbreak.
