This sale is for the Verizon new SIM only. There are separate listings for the Tmobile & AT&T sims that are currently not on sale, but do also go on sale occasionally, just not at the same time as the Verizon SIM.
To transfer existing line's balance, login to tracfone.com first, click the Activate tab, then 'Keep Your Own Phone' option (works for unlocked & TF locked phones), select keep your number & select from the drop down menu that is associated with your account. Enter new sim number & IMEI number of phone. Then your new SIM should be activated with the balance that it's supposed to come with, and after a few hours (may even take a day), the previous line's balance should be added to the new balance automatically. This is the most reliable way to transfer balance, chatting & phone calling with a customer service is very YMMV.

since verizon took over, tracfone went to shit completely.
I activated a new card to extend my service date, but they completely zeroed out my balance. They refuse to help. Now I have filed multiple complaints with BBB, FTC, FCC, FL attorney general office.
Tracfone did NOT respond, but decide to close my account. Then someone else is on the process of porting my phone # out without my consent. I contacted TracFone, and they don't care and continued the port out.

Have to agree with comment that Tracfone is now even worse than it was before Verizon took over.
If you activated a new phone or added minutes, and your existing minutes/data/texts did not get added (or they didn't extend your expiration date from your existing expiration date): It used to be that Tracfone would only honor information about the balances on your phone if you did a chat immediately before activating a new phone, and in that chat, got them to confirm minutes, texts, data balances, and date they expired. Tracfone agents wouldn't honor screenshots of your balance from your account, and they claimed they couldn't look up the balance as of the time you activated the new phone/added minutes.
NOW Tracfone agents are saying they cannot tell you via chat what your current minutes, texts, data balances, and date they expired are. They claim they're protecting your privacy - if they cared about you, they'd provide ways to fix problems quickly. Additionally, you can no longer email a chat transcript to your email. You can GET SCREENSHOTS - but customer service is so horrid, it's not worth the time, as the comment above indicated.
I think Verizon's strategy may be to drive Tracfone out of business - and to more expensive Verizon options..
