Interesting. I did not know that this product exist. I wish the deal was on the 2k version. I would like better ability to zoom into faces with detail with 2k over 1080p.
The reviews for the 2k version seem to be hit or miss with a pink screen issue.

Idk, I have been using the cheaper indoor wired cameras outside for a few years now with zero issues. They are only protected from the elements of the northeast by being installed under eaves.
I could use a couple more, but not sure what real advantage the "outdoor" ones have.

The spotlight can be always on, so color night time
This goes straight to your outlet.. nothing hard about that
You've got outlets readily available outside of the house for each one of these do ya? What's your plan on stopping a potential bad guy from walking up and unplugging your camera, or worse just snipping the cord off?

What's your plan for a bad guy walking up and spraying over, or knocking off your hardwired camera?
This is good enough for people that have an available outlet outside. The bad guy scenarios never end.

the wired camera have much better chance of capturing events as they don't need to "wake up". You can route the wire from inside the house if you willing to drill a small hole for the micro usb end. If you have light bulbs outside, you can simply buy a bulb->usb adapter
itll record at 2k to an sd card. Just not over rstp or homekit
Edit: euffy finally fixed it! Video will no longer downsize if you choose continuous recording.
No, Andy is right, if you have (ANY of) their 2k cameras they will only record 1080p if you set it to 24/7 recording on your sd card. It'll record 2k to the SD only if you set it to just record clips. In theory the image is a little better at the same 1080p 24/7 continuous so I don't have a complaint (have 3 assorted Eufys) but it's a bit disengenuous to say they record in 2k without an astrix. (In the various product manuals and if you email to complain they say "Continuous Recording
Continuous recording works when a formatted microSD card is inserted. All video will be
recorded in 1080p to make room for SD card storage." sighs. But really good cameras aside from that astrix on resolution.

Kinda what I was thinking.
I have zero outside outlets on my 100 year old house.
