You will be sad
Those of us who bought cheap netbooks years ago got burned by stuff like this

This thing has a TDP of 6W max with quick sync hevc support. Seems like it would make a decent Linux box.
Could also be a good first laptop for a kid, provided you disable the webcam in Windows Device Manager and make a standard user account for them.
Might be a good (but cruel) homework laptop too, it can surf the web just fine, run office software and even play back videos, but good luck trying to play modern non-web based games on it. š»š
This is exactly what I've been looking for actually. My boy is turning 10 next month and I'm sure he will love this over his almost 5 year old Chromebook.
Heres the specs...

You obviously should not be using this for any serious work loads or gaming, but it can be a good computer for light tasks. I'd much rather have one of these than something like a fire tablet because it's the same price and it's a win 10 device. It's a good web browser for school and does just fine running office products. If you're into this sort of thing you can throw Linux on here, and point to a repo for pretty decent driver support.
I'm currently using mine for emulation and as a terminal to access my workstations at home. I swapped out the thermal pad for some K5 pro thermal paste, and it stabilized the clock speeds at 2.09 in performance mode. The temps really don't go over 70c which is not bad for passive cooling. It could stand to be over clocked a bit, but you really don't need to for basic tasks.
