Yeah, microSD card, you can then access video via the phone app or pull the microSD. You could also connect it to a server surveillance station, like on a Synology NAS.
EDITED: The microSD is encrypted and the encryption is linked to the device. So you can't just pull the microSD and put it in a computer. It'll ask to format the card. The only way to access the video is via the app (but you have to be able to connect to the device to access the videos). If the camera is damaged, unless you've already downloaded the videos (through the app or via some surveillance station software), you've lost them.

Anyone using these cameras outdoors? Seems like it can be done if there's a good spot and/or you make a good enclosure. Kinda just keep water off of it.
I used it outdoor, so far so good. I am in North California.

You can but if you're going to go wired, you might as well do a camera with PoE instead.

I have 1 outside under a porch covering. It does not get wet or direct sunlight, but gets all the summer heat and humidity and the freezing winter. This has been out for 13 months now in Maryland and so far, no issues.
Option to disable night vision is in the app, for each cam.
*chickens rejoice*
The option is to disable automatic night vision. You can't enable nightvision permanently manually. It is either auto night vision and clicking over and over again, or no night vision and not being able to see at night. That is the issue.
Just to beat the dead horse: you can not view or download video directly from the memory card. You have to download clips either via the phone app (which don't seem to be full quality on my phone) OR via a computer app (available at least on Mac, can't speak to PC). Not a deal breaker for me (I use multiple of these covered outside with no issues) but annoying at first.
There is no app for PC, only a web portal. It does not have the ability to download clips. You can't even view clips via the web portal unless you have a cloud subscription.
Build quality wise yes, these are not too great. Mine popped off after a little over a year, just in time for warranty to expire. But software wise, Eufy rules. Plus you don't need subscription for AI detection and continuous recordings (unlike Wyze's ridiculous 12 second recordings).
Wyze cams can record continuously to microSD without a subscription.

That band, while more effective at longer range communication, is incredibly saturated. Would prefer PoE or 5ghz options.
The vast majority of IoT devices out there are 2.4ghz only. I'd hardly call it "saturated" unless you have crappy network hardware.
I have over 70+ devices connected on my network with many on the 2.4ghz network. Never had a "saturation" issue though my access point can handle 200+ clients at once.
Been a few months since any of these were this low. I've had over a dozen outside, barely protected, for almost two years now and haven't had a single one die, with a microSD card in each one for 24/7 recording and Eufy Cloud for $99/yr for unlimited 30 day cloud recording of all motion events. YMMV on using them outside. I'm extremely happy, especially after troubleshooting a few friends' Rings, Arlos, Nests, Simplisafe, etc brand cameras, which are somehow even worse in every way than these, except cost a lot more.
do you have a link to the $99/year unlimited 30 day cloud? I can't seem to find it. All I get to find are monthly cloud offer. Thank you.
I don't want to use RTSP because i need 2k. I'm ok with internal sd card 24/7 but unlike wyze, i think when eufy service is out, these cams won't record. i may be wrong but that's what their customer service told me. App looses connection often. I downgraded to avoid constant login. Same for new and old versions. When app runs in background it drains battery fast. My phone wants to put app to sleep because of battery drain. I bought 2k Mini pan tilt. These older models are quiet but Mini has a loud motor. Very annoying. It's my first PT cam. I like it. It's a minor upgrade compared to 1080/15fps wyze but just ok enough for my needs. I ordered c24 to hopefully migrate from wyze because of better low light and not 12 sec limit event recording. Also easier to see events in yellow. Disappointed because same shitty 15fps, no 2k in RTSP and i have yet to set it up with static IP. No usb-c port. 1080/15 i already have two wyze cams. I don't need any more of the same.
I own 4 of these and all run through HomeKit. On my ASUS router I have to block them from internet access otherwise the HomeKit and ASUS data transmissions interfere with each other and I get crappy performance.
Hi Cyan,
How do you block internet access to the camera on your ASUS router?
Any chance you can share info in on your HomeKit and eufy install and configuration?

I don't know about Eufy back end outages, but in the past, event recording has continued while my internet service was out.
