Hmmm…and here I thought it was for smart people. Not sure why you would want to pay more AND be locked in a contract (or be locked in for a phone that you can't pay off), but….sure…

Lol, you know *actually* rich people are rich because they don't have to spend more money than they need to, right? That gets them savings, which they can invest, and make even more money.

People with shiny new phones on 36 month payment plans and driving a new pickup that they have a 92 month lease on aren't "rich".

Hopefully they have another one of these in Q2 when Discover gives 5% back on Target & Gas Stations.

I'd recommend signing up for the redcard - the debit card option doesn't do a credit pull and the ongoing 5% is quite worthwhile.

Agreed. This deal is basically 14.5% off if using Red Card ($42.75 for a $50 phone card). So it's even better than Kroger's current 13% off deal on Cricket or AT&T Prepaid.

Can anyone shed light about Verizon prepaid? If I pay for a full year of service - will I automatically get the $15/month discount? Or is it only if I have actively had the service for 9 months is the discount effective?

I'm looking to switch from AT&T prepaid which has been a nightmare compared to T-mobile postpaid in terms of call and data drops.

During these deals I usually buy a year's worth at a time and load my account up. I've never had an issue with expiration.

You'll have to wait the VZW time period before you get the full discount offering. You will still get the $5 auto pay by using these cards as it will subtract from your account balance. I load a year's worth all at once using this deal.

Buying these cards save you $5 off the top and no taxes on the cards or from Verizon, which saves you a few $ more each month.

Can I use the AT&T prepaid card to pay for my postpaid monthly service? On the Target Q&A, Target expert said yes, but some other guy said no. So confusing...

No. The ATT prepaid cards only work for prepaid accounts.
