Only problem it's Amazon, so you run the risk of knock-offs from co-mingled stock. There are a bunch of reviews saying that their pliers broke. No way that many knipex would break, they likely got Chinese knockoffs.

Don't trust Amazon for this type of stuff

Yup, I've gotten counterfeit products from Amazon. Not Knipex in particular but have gotten other stuff that wasn't authentic. Can't trust them on things that are known to have fake versions of.

I've never received a counterfeit from Amazon as the direct seller, but I'm aware it at least *was* a problem at one time. I think Amazon stopped mixing all of its inventory with third party sellers - but not certain. All of that said, note that I'm not aware of any counterfeit Knipex Cobra XS pliers. Take a close look at the pics of the handle... the words "MADE IN GERMANY" AND "COBRA" are actually forged into the handles. It may seem like something small, but it makes it MUCH harder for Chinese manufacturers to slip counterfeits past customs when the COI is forged into the metal handle.

If you're aware of anyone selling counterfeit Cobra XS pliers, or even anyone buying counterfeit Cobra XS pliers (let alone buying them from Amazon), let me know.

I just got a fraudulent M.2 hard drive from Amazon not two weeks ago. Ordered a Kingston Renegade Fury, got a Samsung 980 Pro with a Kingston sticker on it showing clear signs of tampering. Seller was Amazon Services LLC, so very much they are to blame and still sell fraudulent//counterfeit products. Do not trust Amazon with anything important.

That sounds more like return fraud than a counterfeit. I assume Amazon refused your return so you got screwed out of your money?

Same, but it comes down to edc for me (and others I'm sure). You'd probably get a little more use outta the 5" et al for a few bucks more, but this little fella can get thrown in your pocket every day and barely noticed. My only belly ache is the lack of the red handle-grip.
