For those with limited experience, clay bars are a WONDERFUL tool for car decontamination.

Just a quick warning - this is their "heavy duty" line and similar to polishes or other abrasives, you shouldn't use a more aggressive product than you need. Clay bars are not abrasive but can absolutely cause marring/scratching even with careful use.

If you have a heavily contaminated car, this is a great product. If you've clayed recently or have otherwise clean paint, I'd recommend a less aggressive variant. This would be great match for something like wheels, exhaust tips, someone already planning on heavy paint correction etc. I wouldn't choose this product as part of my normal maintenance routine.
I've only clayed a couple of cars, and briefly looked at the OP's product, but I'd much rather have a claybar that isn't black. The Meguiar's claybar kits are yellow, and it is much easier to tell if you have impurities (small rocks, other hard material) in the clay, and if it's time to toss it and get a new piece.
As for the spray, doesn't soapy wooder work just as well?

Thanks. I'd much rather get this over some ransom off-brand at Autozone

I wouldn't recommend using a heavy clay for new users or if your vehicle doesn't have heavy contamination. Most applications only need a light clay bar which may cause very minimal marring to the paint if any.

I prefer using a light clay mitt or towel as it covers more area and I've found it safer on painted surfaces. Another thing I like about using a mitt or towel is you can simply rinse off the media if you accidentally drop it. Whereas a clay bar, you'd have to throw the thing away.

Would a heavy clay bar help clear up an old windshield?

I bought their yellow bar which is light/medium in their line and it was pretty mild, I don't have tons of experience with claying, but I would go with their medium bar for most jobs or venture to the heavy for dirty cars.

There are plenty of companies that make them and any of them would work. I have a fine clay towel from The Rag Company. If you subscribe to their newsletter, you get an additional 15% off.

It's currently out of stock but they are expecting a shipment of them very soon.

I used this exact clay bar on my older Charger Pursuit windshield with lots of highway miles and hard water spots and it came out great.

How does this brand compare to others? I have used both Meguires and Mothers with success.
