So a mini fridge for $240 is now front page?? Cut that price in half and then we'll talk. Yeah, yeah, I know, inflation, time machine, blah blah blah.

Ask the FedEx person to take your old fridge away and let us know how that conversation went.

Ummm...6.13 cu ft is NOT the size of a normal fridge. If that's the case, then our fridge is about 4.5x the size of a "normal fridge." We are not giants nor is our fridge abnormally large. Try again.

It's less about inflation and time machines and more about reading comprehension. This fridge is 80% the size of a normal fridge with a dedicated freezer compartment. It helps when you complain to actually look at what you're complaining about.

It depends on the driver not the service. That's like hating Chinese people because a Chinese guy beat you at poker once.

And my post wasn't even about the effectiveness of FedEx. Is everyone here either a 32 year old that lives with their parents or the 70 year old who's children still live at home? Sheesh.
Imagine all the people That handle the same package to get it to the delivery driver

Logistics is a bitch

I can't caution you against this enough. Replacement parts for anything (e.g. door seal) are nigh impossible to find for insignia items. Don't risk it.

How do you think this would be for a garage fridge/freezer? I'm wondering, would the summer heat and size be a factor?
If your garage isn't insulated and isn't moderate temperature (ideally room), don't do it. You will end up spending a ton of money in electricity because your compressor will constantly be on.

And if you live in a cold climate, it's very possible that the warmth of the fridge compressor running will attract mice. Don't ask me how I found that out.

I wouldn't put this in a garage unless maybe you insulate it will ventilation capability. It can't warm up anything if it's below freezing, and there are thermostat issues even for the freezer. If you have an energy efficient freezer in the garage, you want one with a heater element, some Frigidaire ones had a kit you could install. Mom lost food in our freezer because she didn't have one.

I had a small 4.5 cuft fridge in my bedroom with a microwave and a Pizzazz. I had a it for a couple years as my upstairs fridge because I didn't want to go all the way downstairs frequently in my dad's huge old house, so mine was great. This has more freezer space and less fridge than I had, so I'd be concerned there. Having the fridge on top is good, because most stuff I would get is in the fridge, so you don't have to learn over.

A mouse/some mice nested under mine and died. I'm not exactly sure why (because of the heat from the fridge?) the smell was horrible. I pitied whatever scrapper took it from the end of my driveway that week.

FedEx among shippers show the least effort. They always leave packages half way up or bottom of stairs. Like they toss it and leave immediately. USPS , ups, and amazon place it properly right by the door and sometimes hidden or out of sight behind a pot or plant. FedEx through Walmart delivered a desk and just left it curbside by the street. Thankfully I live in a residential neighborhood and so far no stolen packages especially the way fedex delivers

yep. my UPS guy get paid well has been the same for 15+ years, has stock options. Fedex guys have come and gone.

a lot of ship dented complaints. Better to try luck at at store if free delivery?

They put staplers on the front page now a mini fridge definitely fits the bill.

Most fridges are 17 - 26 cu ft. A 5 cu ft mini fridge is definitely not 80% of a normal fridge. You should take your own advice.

it's bigger than a dorm fridge and good as a back up.

But it has been $199 per price hx. So i'll wait to bite unless there's better deals for that size.
