Alternatively I could get two of these and a parallel cable and a 30amp to 50amp cable. This sounds like a pain and I'm not sure if this can even be made to run in parallel since I'd need the 30amp outlet to run to the horse.

Not saying the Westinghouse isn't a decent unit - it may or may not be. My comment was on the difference in noise that the two make. Each have their uses, I just hope someone doesn't buy any brand of noisy open frame generator and take it into a forest or campground and force their neighbors to listen to it.
Unfortunately some will.
Storing gasoline in my hot south Florida garage makes me nervous, propane is much safer
A propane tank in extreme heat could explode due to pressure in the tank....
But this model is definitely a better one comparing the ones sold previously in Costco

If I hadn't already gotten Champion 200977 in the hurricane season, I would jump on this.

At the time I paid $800 for this and then $950 for the champion. At this price I would probably have returned my unit and tried a second one, but at the time I was glad to spend $150 more the the champion. I have since plumbed the LP fittings for quick connects which I run to my travel trailer's LP line. I then have a 25 ft hose that I run to the generator for when I am boondocking.
