Mouse that is very light and very responsive wireless. Helps prevent a lot of carpal tunneling for me.
g502 lightspeed should be sufficient.

this model is really intended for gamer-specific use cases in gaming: lighter base model, slightly better latency, and upgraded glide pads.

I've owned both, and the superlight is superior, but both are still plagued by double click issues. it's about a $20 difference when both go on sale, from my POV,

IMO That's a negligible difference for a tool I use daily, but my priorities are different as I do definitely game at a competitive type level.

if you are looking for longevity for daily tasks without the need of a manufacturer specific/ or ergo specific mouse, I'd honestly recommend looking at the Razer wireless mouse that use optical switches, as they don't have double click issues and tend to be cheaper overall. (coming from a Logitech fanboy)
Razer products always break on me and Logitech customer service is unparalleled imo.

Ratings reporting a latency of 9ms in wireless and 8ms in wired mode.

Is wired father than wireless for this particular case? Yes.
Is this always true for every instance. No.
Is a latency difference of 1ms discernable to a human? No.
Even in the case of an even faster wired mouse with let's say a 5ms latency in wired mode. Is the latency difference between 9ms and 5ms discernable to a human? No.

Yes, you are correct. In this particular scenario wired is faster than wireless. But our latency levels are getting so low that it just doesn't matter anymore.
