If you get a good pair, these are the best ANC IEMs in the market right now and are well worth the price.
I hope this helps,

well they're pretty good after using ldac..
ANC. i prefer bose, but XM4 is excellent. Foam tip blocks out a lot, even before anc kicks in.
Mic. bose is better, XM4 mic sounds messy w/noisy back ground.
Fit. QC butterfly wing better than foam imo. Foam is comfy but ear fatique is real
Sound. XM4, is better, especially low end. not that im a audiophile
Battery. after 6 hours w ANC. Bose 20% battery at end of work. Sony. 35% battery at end of work.
you can use either unit serprately. (Bose, right only)
Pet peeve, no multi point.
control gesture for volume annoying.
great buy at $149.
solid for walking/office work/driving. at gym, meh. running not good idea.
*update firmware.i swear the sound quality got ampped up.
XM5 is scheduled to be out late 23/early 24 (i could be wrong)

I connected them to my phone and tried a call, but the other person couldn't hear me. Tried them on conference calls today and get a lot of echoes, pinging noises, and pops and crackles. Playing music, they sounded great for about 5 minutes. Then I tried to put one back in the case to try the left bud independently and all the sudden the audio quality went to crap (significantly quieter and overall tinny, like a cheap set of $3 headphones). I fiddled with them for less than an hour and experienced multiple issues.
Clearly this is one of the "refurb" varieties where they take defective / inconsistent units and just try to shuffle them back out into the market, hoping people don't return them. It's too bad, because I wanted them to work out and see the potential they had. Mine are going back.

I'm glad I bought these at that price. They arrived Like new- no box.
The sound quality and ANC is truly impressive
I'm reporting no ringing from mine as others have experienced from these headphones.
Small cons:
-Ambient sound even on max does not collect as well as my galaxybuds+; its hard to hear voices @ >60% volume you just hear sounds.
-These are slightly bulky and you will adjust to the fit in a few days. I'm neutral on the foam tips.
-The Sony Connect App interface needs work compared to Apple and Samsung wearable software.
**Using with GPixel6...the left ear buds sometimes manually turn off when switching thru apps on my phone. It only happens when LDAC is used. I have to restart bluetooth to get both buds functioning. It is a confirmed software issue. Some samsung phones also report this issue.
I decided not return these and hopefully firmware updates will fix this issue because the sound and ANC is too good. I would have returned if there was the ringing as it is reported to be a hardware issue. **
