I know it's not apples to apples, but I've been on the hunt for a 400 dollar semi "disposable" laptop/mobile computer for a while.
From what I see, this is a larger screen, and because it's an actual computer, you COULD possibly do some light gaming. Because the refurb chromebook is NOT running windows. The speeds SHOULD be pretty comparable despite some pretty significant hardware differences.
I see 8 gb ram here compared to 4 gb on the refurb.
However, I am too boomer to know how much different it would make in actual practice (mostly because of the differences in operating systems).
P.S. If someone would be kind enough to teach me to fish by showing me a website to just plug things in, or compare like I do with google and video cards, I would be most grateful!

Personally, I'm either gaming, in which case I have a proper high end gaming pc that I built, or just browse the web, listen to music/podcasts, watch videos, check emails, shop, in which case I grab the Acer and lean back on the sofa.
The ASUS has an i3-1005G1, but both it and this Lenovo use Intel's 10th Gen UHD Graphics which are garbage. I sold a Lenovo recently that had a horrible non IPS display that gave me eyestrain, I'm afraid this Lenovo might be similar.
The Factory Recertified Acers look new I've already bought three for the family. There's no tax, and you can use the 5% off coupon, and it comes to around $180 total. It also comes with a USBC charger that I use on everything, phone, headphones, flashlight. I hate that these 10th Gen Intel Laptops still use barrel jacks for charging.

This deal is much worse than deals from Amazon Prime. You can still buy without Amazon Prime, maybe pay extra shipping etc.
