The $100 off T-Mobile and Sprint iPhone 13 and 13 Mini back again at Best Buy.

https://www.bestbuy.com/site/appl...Variations

https://www.bestbuy.com/site/appl...Variations

Some of the Trade in Values are much less this time (XR down to $250 and iP11 down to $350). . .some are higher like $640 for Galaxy S21 trade in. Perfect if you got the XR cheap 2 months ago, traded in for clearance S21, which can be traded in + $60 for an iP13. Can't trade the S21 on the base iP13 mini as TIV exceeds phone purchase price, but you could do it on the 256GB version.

The $640 Trade in Value on the S21 is as big a deal as the $100 off the iPhone.
And the $640 TIV seems good towards most TMO phones over $640, i.e. S22 line, Pixel 6

EDIT: $640 TIV is only for $128GB of S21. 256GB version fetches only $420. QA Note: The $640 is only for the Black S21 color. The other colors are $420

lol that's not what I meant, the TW XR Refurbs that we got for $121+tax end of last year, could have been traded in for $390 at BB during the last time this 100off was offered.
So $250 is more than what I paid for the phone but if you compare it to what was offered before it's ridiculously low now.

It started at 390, then dropped to 360, now it's $250, so it's hella low compared to the historic high.

I bought multiple phones at $121 but didn't trade them all at the time, I don't need that many 13s and I'm not reselling them.

I'm holding my extra XRs for other trade-in deals.

S21 deal was pretty decent however I already have a Pixel 6 Pro as my daily driver, and androids don't hold their value as well as iPhones. So if I'm going to buy a phone to play around with and hold, I rather get an iPhone since it won't lose as much value in the long term.

But either way, it's good that the 100 off promo is back at BB, but for me I'll wait for better trade-in values before I get anything lol.
You are the reason I couldn't get any XRs thanks a lot man 🙄

Not true in this case. Since January, Costo has been running a trade-in promo deal for the iPhone 12s and 13s. iPhone 13 at Costco at "full price" is only $720. It's still available now and you can get up to $360 trade in value for eligible phones. Trading in an iPhone XR specifically gets $360 trade in value. You get it in the form of a Mastercard virtual card rebate (typically takes 30 days to receive but can be as long as 8 weeks). See link below for the promo details on Tmobile and confirmation from T-force on other devices that qualify for $360 trade in value. I agree with X_point, depending on your trade in device, the Costco deal might be better (assuming you don't care that the rebate value is not credited immediately during purchase).

That is a good deal if you get to trade in and send it off to TMO, while walking out the warehouse that day with the new IPhone (i.e. 10% off vs. MSRP). Would definitely consider it if I were say still holding on to an XR

I got 3 phones unlocked immediately. Most people don't need to wait 40 days
I've partaken more then my fair share of Tmo deals and unlocking is def. a try til you succeed deal, it's not automatic, be prepared for it.

Yes. Note though that Tmobile official policy is that phone should have been active under Tmobile service for 40 days to be eligible to unlock. People have reported being able to request immediate unlock from Best Buy and Costco (i.e., without waiting 40 days) but that is a YMMV situation. I've done it myself. Sometimes a Tmobile agent would insist that the 40 day requirement is not yet met and refuse to unlock. I usually just try again with another agent until successful. Just wanted to be clear that the immediate unlock request is never a guarantee regardless of where you purchase it.
Thanks, I have XR, I am not sure if they will take 6s as well and give more trade in off,

This Mastercard we can request on any address or it need to be only on Costco card holders address?

Darn BB deal was way better, I took so long to decide and buy.

I was able to get this.

Last night placed order in Best Buy website, selected black even though I had the graphite one. went today to pickup, picked the device and the person with blue shirt at cellphone section helped me, took the S21 and handed me over the blue iPhone 13. It seemed like they didn't care about colors. if you have graphite, go ahead and do it from online and go to the store to pickup.

If you have a different color, I guess you can also go there and try to get this.

I currently have an iPhone 12 Pro 256gb.

TIV is $700, which puts me at $99 + tax for an iPhone 13 256gb.

If I do this deal through Best Buy, can I pay the remaining balance up front & through Best Buy without having to deal with any T-Mobile aspect of it?

I spent 6months in 2021 having TMo correct my billing (through T-Force) after a botched upgrade, so I'd like to just get the TIV for my current device, apply it towards a new phone, and pay off the balance immediately at Best Buy.

Thanks in advance !
I wouldn't trade 12 pro for a 13 even without paying any difference

I think they also take the iphone 6 but offer a lower TIV, either $100 or $200. You can confirm with Tforce.

I wouldn't do the BB deal as it is now though. $250 TIV is too low for your iPhone XR. I think you can do better in other upcoming deals.

If you don't mind bill credits, you can also do the trade-in directly with Apple. Apple is offering $200 immediate TIV for iphone XR. If you activate with Tmobile, you also get $200 bill credits spread over 24 months. So that's a total of $400 value for your XR. Currently Apple sells the iphone 13 for $800. You can ask them to price match with BB, they will only allow up it 10% discount... so it will come out $720. The price match is not an official policy they publish but I've done this 5 times in the past year and always worked after chatting with customer support. YMMV. The good thing about Apple is all iPhones they sell are unlocked. So no need to request unlock after you receive the phone.

edit: forgot to answer your other question... you can pick any name or address for the Mastercard. it will be sent via link that will be texted to a Tmobile phone number of your choice under your family plan. I usually just immediately transfer the funds to my bank account (takes 2-3 business days to process, it's free) so I don't have to worry about how to spend it.

You'll probably get more out of 12 pro in a few months

Thanks for the data point.
I called my BB store mobile desk and let them look up my order, they're able to see the order and couldn't see the trade-in item details, not even able to confirm the trade-in item is S21.. weird. Seems I have to drive there and try out in person.

I did a similar deal buying a s21 last year (around Christmas) with XR trade in and cancel my Tmobile account right away (I am never a Tmobile customer), just took advantage of the deal and unlocked the s21. Now I want to do this for again for iPhone 13, by trading in a s21. Can't go through in Bestbuy system. Called T-mobile, they said I have to wait 90 days to be eligible be a new T-mobile customer. Otherwise, I have to add a new line to my de-activated account by ordering a new line (a new sim card will be shipped to me), and it would take a few days. I said maybe I go to your store and make it faster, so that I can take the advantage of the Bestbuy trade-in offer again.

Anyone else had similar issue with me (not a T-mobile customer, but want to take advantage of these deals within 90 days)? What is the correct way to do this? Reactivate the account, adding a new line through T-mobile first, or I can't do anything right now? Thanks.
