IKEA is generally made in SE-Asia, coated stoneware. Some is their Feldspar porcelain (365+). Closest to Corelle is Oflast (tempered glass, but not multi-layered).
Corelle is Vitrelle (a glass laminate of three thermally-bonded glass layers), generally made in (New York) USA.

I also got the "frost white" to me I don't want to take chances with the paint/dye on the designs. If you don't drop these on tile like I do they can probably outlive you. Love these plates and bowls. The mugs are junk.
I am looking for something for around 6 people serving including mugs, thanks for post though OP
You can add individual pieces as well. Most Walmarts sell the plates and bowls alone. Another reason I went with these, just in case one breaks I can just go pick up another and not ruin the set.

I got two sets. You always need extra of something, though that does double the price. Sure these don't come with the mugs but I was never a huge fan of their mugs anyway. They are kind of small.
good deal, doesn't look like they added filler material like porcelain mug - which is done frequently in the past. These appeared to be all glass material. good finding

IKEA ones are no good. I have both. IKEA ones chipped early on. Corelle still going strong. I like the style size of the mugs but they get grey scratch marks on them.
