Unfortunately that is what brand marketing wants you to believe. This TV is entry level, with specs that go hand in hand with that. At this price point (ish) most folks would be better off with Hisense U6G, or go up a class to the U7G.

Not sure which review is closer to this set, since it is exclusive to best buy it is hard to say, although the difference in review is negligible.

Always depends on what you're used to or comparing to.

Fair question, but I think most would consider Samsung to be a brand that is at least consistently mid-range, which would make this a steal for $600.

I have the 82" version of this tv and love it. Only downside to this tv is if there will be a window shining sunlight on this tv while watching a dark scene. We can black out our window, so this doesn't matter for us. Action scenes are also great on this.

my cousin has this as his basement TV, picked it up for about $50 more than this price last June. it's an OK TV, nothing spectacular about it. if you are going for cheap price in comparison to the screen size while taking into account the brand, this is a decent buy but its a very entry level Samsung.

Rubbish.

I've owned two Samsung HD TVs and one Samsung Notebook computer, and I would never recommend the HiSense over this for the same price.

This a decent TV for the price.
Why is it so cheap...advances in the manufacturing process & nowadays TVs are disposable.
They're mainly plastic and definitely not the robust well built TVs of the mid 2000s.

I've had this for over a year and hate it. Only two hdmi ports, and trying to use an hdmi switcher just confuses the hell out of this "smart" TV. Frustrating and wish I had bought something better

FYI: 2 HDMI. Using a soundbar means you're maxed out at one device. Dealbreaker for me but probably fine if you exclusively you use it for the built in apps.

I have this tv in my guest room and the OS seems to be a bit slower than I'd like, but the shear size of it is enough to impress people and make them wonder what a tv this size is doing in a guest room.

Picture quality overall is average and audio quality is average, but I bought this a few months ago also for $600 and I have absolutely zero complaints, especially considering how inexpensive it was.

I have never seen dead big TV been disposed or dump illegally. People just buy TV because its cheap and fill every room in the house?

For most decent sound bars just use the digital optical output on the back of the tv and connect to your sound bar.
