This is the A1 model. Also saw this in store this weekend and got excited for a second, but they had no C1s in stock. Only A1 models. Not a good deal.
It's an extremely good deal for consumption. Not everyone gives a shit about video games. You're gonna tell me you'd rather have a Qled than OLED A1 for your movie watching?
in other words if this isn't a good deal, name abetter movie watching TV for $1400. I'll wait.
For those saying this is a bad deal, what's a good price on this? Or what's the best 65" alternative at this price point for general consumption (netflix, cable, etc...)?
I don't think its a bad deal, just that it has been the going rate on this model for almost two months now. And you can get the costco version instead with 5 year warranty and their delivery service for the same price. So this is more like normal price and not an actual slickdeal.
I agree that the A1 gets unfairly ripped for not being 120 hz panel. A lot of people just dismiss it without actually having seen it. It still scores higher in PQ for movies than any QLED TV. When I've seen head to head comparisons the difference in motion is nearly indistinguishable between this and the C1 and you can only tell the slight difference in brightness with them right next to each other and only in certain content. It's color performance actually is at times very slightly better than C1, more Sony like. If you aren't going to game, this is a good cheaper alternative and no OLED is going to be great for super bright rooms. If there was only a $200 difference, I would say move up to the C1, but with C1 running $400 more, the A1 makes some sense.

Not a good deal since it's the "regular" price for this 65 inch (A1) TV. It's $1400 at Costco and $1397 from Amazon direct and third party (Beach Camera as seller). Never said it was a bad TV, just the price isn't a "deal". If you pay more than $1400 for this TV, you're getting ripped off.
