I own this exact model and got it for my toddler for his first birthday back in 2020. It is far and away my most used piece of baby furniture...second only to his crib.

Now everytime I am doing something, he will climb onto the kitchen buddy and watch vs jump up and down on the floor causing a hazard. He no longer has to wonder what pie-in-the-sky activity I am doing when I take things out of the fridge, sink, or pantry.

I spend at least half of my time in my kitchen at the butcher block and this has a permanent place next to it. Because he is now counter height, I can multitask and prep adult meals while he watches. I got him some wooden fruits and veggies with a small cutting board so he can feel like he is participating as well. He now knows how to cut basic fruits (bananas, strawberries, apples) with a plastic take-out knife. I grew up in a restaurant family and was cutting veggies at an early age (although not toddler-age), and wanted to give my little one this benefit too.

He can eat at the counter now (which I do), which eliminates the need to bring out the high chair as well as all of the usual bibs and other garb to the living room. He can prep, eat, watch educational videos and also scribble, all on the butcher block.

The kitchen buddy gets VERY dirty and has these honeycomb-shaped holes which manage to catch every matter of dirt, crumb, and sauce spill. It will require hosing down several times a week if you use it daily.

Some side info: It has rubber pads on the feet and is NOT easy to move. At 2.5 yrs old, my toddler cannot move it yet. It is very sturdy and even I have been able to stand on it, albeit I have only tested for short periods (I am 215 lbs)

"Learning towers" are awesome, for all you naysayers. Toddlers are gonna come hassle you while you're cooking anyway since they want to be with you; better they watch safely at the counter instead of climbing in the dishwasher or pulling silverware out of drawers while your back is turned. I built mine out of an ikea stool, but for $50, would have snapped this up in a heartbeat to have avoided the headache.

My child loves this stool, I removed the bar that would be behind them, it was way too difficult for them to get up and down with it in the way. Granted my child is past the stage where falling off without the bar is very unlikely.

I have something similar, and it is definitely best for large, spacious kitchens, but I appreciate that it is safe and lets the little kids "help" me. Cooking with kids is really good for them developmentally….and it's inevitable if you have toddlers. Might as well make sure they're safe. Keep the stool away from the stove, lol. Mine is way too heavy for them to push around on their own.

Been considering one of these. I think this is one of the better rated ones. I'll bite. Thanks

We saw this clearance at $30, ended up returning in it. It has to be built an did doesn't fold or collapse. We found foldable sturdy ones at a local Gabe's for $10

This is not a good price. Bought it from Walmart on clearance for 15. At that point regular price was thirty. The exact same one.

Bought and had to return. This thing is huuuuge. Just make sure you have a large kitchen to match (probably not many of us here).

I use a dinning room chair for my 2.5 yr old son. Works well.
I bet this works good. It is good for kids to be as involved as possible even if it is more work for us.
