Grab the callaway set at Costco. They are pretty decent at 500.

I'm just starting out and I would recommend getting a set. As a noob you can easily get sucked in looking at reviews, comparing models while not even understand what you really want/need. Also because of the pandemic golf has risen in popularity so golf gear is pretty expensive. Get a set, practice and learn the game and see if you really like it. Then you can upgrade specific clubs later or build a new set. Also don't forget to have fun out there.

Only thing needed is a bag

It's not a super cheap set but it's great for the quality and not needed to piece everything together

I was hunting offerup/craigslist/fb marketplace and found a set of the costco callaways used for 7 months.. along with a callaway stand bag ($200) and set of kirkland wedges ($150) all for $580.. i immediately reached out and bought it.. hell of a deal.. basically the costco callaway set plus a free bag and wedges. Still can't believe it.
