Anyone else have the issue with no show socks that the spandex loses elasticity over time around the ankle area? They slide down into my shoes as I walk and drive me insane.

Happens with all the ones I buy at Costco (adidas, puma)

Still looking for a brand that doesn't do this.
I've been very happy with these Asics for 3ish years now. Super soft and don't slide down after many many wash and dry cycles.

Has anyone actually worn them? Too thick, too thin? The lack of comments is never a good sign, even though they're just socks.
They're thin, but very comfortable.

I've only had mine for a year or so, but they don't really slide around on your feet.

Good to know, thanks. Some of the reviews say too thick and warm, so who knows what you'll get.

When it says "dry" or "dri-fit" it actually means "Wet " and "make feet sweat more "

so what makes these "running" socks versus standard no-show socks? these don't look great for walking/hiking/running to be honest. gym socks.. maybe.

I wear a size 14 and the larger size works for me. I have been ordering these for a few years. Whenever they start to get thin I order a couple more packs. They are not thin and that makes them comfortable and warm enough for year round wearing. I wouldn't call them "no show" they are definitely visible on pretty much every pair of non-boot shoes I own. I don't own any hi-top sneakers. As for durability... I have ripped a few by snagging them, but I believe the durability is good enough for 6+ months of weekly washing before they start to get thin. They may be warmer than they let on, but I don't remember my feet sweating except when wearing black shoes in sunlight. The black is nice because it doesn't stain. I walk outside all the time in my socks and they hold up.

These have been my every day socks for years now.

They're pretty comfy, low profile, and don't slip much at all. My only complaint is that they do end up running holes in them at pressure points (especially the heel) after about a year or so, but they're so cheap I just buy a new set when they reach that point.

In for another now since I'm due, so thanks OP!

Agree with your comments on the ASICS socks and they are great gym socks.

However, I find that they don't provide enough cushion when running (I develop blisters whereas other socks do just fine). So, I double them up when running.
