Throw in my few cents.

I bought one probably 3 years ago.

Installation was REALLY annoying due to my car. The directions were not good for the installation and most of the wires did not reach areas in the console. I had to buy extra wire and splice it together. After doing all that, it finally worked and it has been solid ever since. I tried using android auto with it, but it didnt work that well (I just wanted to try it for the heck of it). After that the GPS wasn't working for the car, but a factory reset fixed all of that. Still working and going strong. Just note installation might be more annoying than you think.
That's why it pays to not be cheap and buy the factory wire harness adapter. Then you don't have to deal with the hassle of cutting and splicing wires and it saves a ton of time and you won't end up frustrated like this.

If a previous owner cut the factory connector (NEVER DO THIS!, if you can) you're going to be out of luck and will have to do all of the work identifying the wires and cutting and splicing.

What I'm getting at is that this is not a problem with this head unit, it's a problem with you and/or your car.

Anyone know what SoC is in this?
Been doing some research and it looks like UIS7862 is the fastest SoC used in these China HUs.
For about $200 you can get a UIS7862 with 3G/32GB and 1080p backup cam from aliexpress. Other than significantly lower risk from buying from Amazon, is this a better buy than a higher spec no name device from Ali?
The UIS7862 is indeed a much faster CPU than the older PX6 and similar HU's. I HIGHLY recommend going with EKIY on Ali Express. I'm not a shill, I'm not paid by them, nobody in their right mind would give me $ to shill for anything, that said, they have an excellent product and EXCELLENT customer support. I did a super detailed in-depth teardown/hardware review of their higher end system (model T7). That video is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rg_qnPSFIn8

The EKIY version of this HU (A55 or A75 CPU) is here: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1...mainSearch

You'll see the price is comparable to the OP, but it's 3G ram, 32gb storage for $193. You also get a 9" QLED screen vs 7" IPS. A few of the other specs are a bit better as well. As others have stated, it'd be wise to get a unit with more RAM, otherwise things will bog down pretty quick. Maps alone uses up a lot of RAM.

I'm a huge fan of this and the brand and the A6.

To start, is really hard to find a decent unit at this price point that seamlessly allowed you to connect to internet. With this device, you can simply hot spot off your phone - that's super easy - since it has Wi-Fi.

It's also Android, so you can install (almost) any app you need. YouTube, Browsers, Gmail, etc. Personally, don't care for so many apps but many of the regular audio brands don't give you full android to install what you want.

My experience with customer service is incredible with them. They are very responsive and when I had an issue I couldn't fix, they sent me a new replacement nearly a year later (car just had a blown fuse).

Downside I would say is RAM. Pay for more if you can because it can lag a bit. Also, to get carplay or Android auto, you need an additional dongle. It is annoying using Spotify, Maps, etc. when the font is tiny but my workaround is using Google Assistant. One button and I say "navigate to..." and it saves me from typing.

Really happy with this unit just wish I got a version with more RAM.
But, in the title it says Anroid Auto? So I am confused it has Android Auto or not?

I just said it was my car. I did get a factory harness. Problem was the original radio is at the bottom of the console, and had to be moved up. Wires did not reach and the fm wire did not reach.

Next time read what I wrote where I said it was my car.

Is something like this hard to install in say a Mazda 3 2011?
Better to go to AliExpress and find one specific to your car.

So I'm not sure if the is the a6 from 2 years ago. But it's pretty cool loading RetroArch and using a bt controller. I will say however, the emulation for retro systems is smooth 60fps. But the performance loading maps, YouTube, etc reminds me of an Android tablet in like 2016.

Got one for my 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser.
I hope it fits fine.
I have never installed it before, how hard it could be? Should I use some installer?

I have another chinese android head unit. It's from 2016 but still works well. The versatility of having a rooted android HU in your vehicle is awesome.
I need to look into that. When I try and use gps it shuts off the music
