HomeDepot.com [homedepot.com] has RIDGID 18V OCTANE Brushless Cordless One-Handed Reciprocating Saw (Tool Only) for $79.

The price out to just slightly higher than the DeWalt Atomic reciprocating saw (DCS369B) using the hack ($79 vs $74).

This one is slightly bigger than the DeWalt but bigger stroke length and more stokes per minute

Based on reviews I've read/seen, the DeWalt comes out on top of most compact recip saws in terms of small size and ergonomics, but is one of the worst in terms of cutting power. The Ridgid meanwhile seems to be the opposite.

Did you have to do hack to get the $79 price? I'm seeing $99 all around my location.

No hack. Try store #6305. You can ship to home. Shows only 2 left.

I had no idea you could change to a store across the country and get their price shipped to home. Snagged one, thanks man. Repped.

Yes, all of the Ridgid 18V tools work with any Ridgid 18V battery.

Who would've thought Kobalt would have scored so high.

Kobalt consistently scores right around Ridgid for most of their 24v line up while having a lower msrp. Their XTR tools are just amazing and consistently outclass Octane (aside from the 1/2" wrench because the octane 1/2" impact wrench is just silly good). People think Kobalt is the lowes version of Ryobi but it's more akin to Ridgid. I'd say their craftsman lineup are about their closest thing to Ryobi price/quality. Main thing ridgid has going for it over Kobalt is the LSA and these fire sale prices they've been having to clear out their octane. Don't sleep on Kobalt... really hoping they don't kill the kobalt xtr brand to make their flex tools look better.

Finally able to grab this tool about 45 min from where I live. Only store in stock. Love the Octane tools and this will be perfect for limbing and work around home. Got it for 75.00 with military discount plus tax. Thanks SD!
